Beauty in the Woods

One of the most charming vintage cabins on
Palomar is indeed a 'Beauty in the Woods'.
You could also call it 'one and a half cabins' with a
separate, absolutely adorable bunkhouse which
includes a full bath, a small refrigerator and microwave making a perfect, tiny guest cottage.

The main cabin was built in 1928 with warm, inviting knotty pine, an open beamed ceiling and a big stone fireplace. You can sit by the fire in front of the huge picture window, or on the front deck,  looking out to the forest and see the Observatory off in the distance.

Approximately 900 square feet gives you the living area, open to this cozy kitchen. The kitchen was perhaps added in the 1950's with original, now retro, lighting fixtures, the fun, red Formica and the sink cabinet, all in excellent condition.
There is a like-new refrigerator, propane stove and a sit-down eating counter surrounded by lots of knotty pine cabinets.
